Job summary

St George’s School in Newport, England, invites applications for a Work Experience Co-ordinator & Careers Assistant. The role supports careers education and work placements for Key Stage 4 and 5, liaising with employers to grow the placements database.

You will work with the Careers Lead on events and administrative tasks, with GCSEs in English and Maths, strong communication, safeguarding focus and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Experience in an administrative role, managing records and databases.
• Good communication skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Strong student focus with safeguarding at the centre of practice.
• Experience/understanding of working with young people with SEN is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Organise work experience placements across KS4 and KS5.
• Liaise with employers and agencies to maintain and develop the placements database.
• Support Careers Lead with events and administrative tasks.
• Travel between locations as required.
