Job summary

North Star Academy Trust is seeking an Emotional and Social Support Assistant (ESSA) to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on supporting vulnerable students' emotional wellbeing and academic progress.

You will work one-to-one or in small groups, design bespoke intervention programmes, and apply specialist strategies to help students access the curriculum and reach their potential. You will contribute to measurable improvements in both attainment and social development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils who present challenging behaviour.
• Strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training to enhance practice.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one or in small groups with students to support emotional wellbeing and mental health.
• Design and deliver bespoke intervention programmes tailored to individual needs.
