Job summary

University of Chester is seeking an experienced Student Wellbeing Adviser to join the Wellbeing and Mental Health team within Student Services. You will provide one-to-one support to students experiencing wellbeing, mental health and personal challenges, helping them overcome barriers and succeed at university.

You will lead support for designated international student groups, deliver targeted interventions and develop specialist knowledge to help students navigate studying abroad.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one wellbeing, mental health and personal support to students to help them overcome barriers and succeed at university.
• Lead support for designated international student groups, delivering targeted interventions and developing specialist knowledge for studying abroad.
• Manage a varied caseload, undertake risk assessments, respond to safeguarding concerns, and contribute to the Duty service.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the University and with external partners to ensure coordinated, effective support for students.
