Job summary

University of East Anglia in Norwich is seeking a Senior Wellbeing Adviser (Mental Health) within the Student Journey & Support Services. This 0.8 FTE role focuses on assessing and managing students with complex mental health needs, and coordinating with other departments to implement effective risk management plans.

The post requires a recognised mental health or psychological therapy qualification, with recent experience supporting adults with mental health difficulties and strong risk

Qualifications

• Must have recognised mental health and/or psychological therapy qualification.
• Recent experience working with adults with mental health difficulties.
• Clear risk assessment and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and management for students at risk of harm to self or others.
• Meet with students one-to-one and agree management plans with relevant departments.
• Collaborate with wellbeing staff and university departments to support presenting concerns.
• Identify support needs and reasonable adjustments for access to courses and activities.
