Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Student Support Assistant (Personal Care & Complex Needs) in West London to provide dedicated SEND support. Role involves personal care, medication support, PEG feeding, and manual handling within a multidisciplinary teaching environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with learners who have SEND, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and learner well-being.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience providing personal care support.
• Experience administering medication.
• Training in manual handling and the use of moving and handling equipment.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with SEND.
• Assist learners with personal care including toileting, dressing, feeding and hygiene.
• Administer medication in line with healthcare plans and procedures.
• Support learners who require PEG feeding and ensure safety procedures.
• Undertake manual handling and operate equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate records relating to care and learner support.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety protocols at all times.
