GREEN WRYTHE PRIMARY SCHOOL is seeking a dedicated school support role to assist pupils and teachers. The successful candidate will work across the school to help pupils access learning, prepare materials, and support safeguarding and welfare.

You will contribute to inclusive education, support classroom routines, and participate in training and school activities as required. This role is on-site in Carshalton, England.

• Establish positive relationships with pupils and support access to learning
• Supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning
• Attend to pupils’ personal needs and welfare, including health, hygiene and first aid
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
• Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate
• Assist with preparation of classroom for lessons and display of pupils’ work
• Be aware of pupil problems/progress/achievement and report to the teacher
• Undertake pupil record keeping as requested
• Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour, raising and reporting inconsistencies
• Gather/report information from/to parents/carers as directed
• Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money
• Support pupils to access curriculum and understand instructions
• Support pupils with learning strategies such as literacy and numeracy
• Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher
• Be aware of and comply with policies relating to child protection, health and safety and data protection
• Be aware of and support differences and ensure equal access to opportunities to learn
• Contribute to the ethos/work/aims of the school
• Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
• Attend and participate in meetings and training as required
• Assist with supervision of pupils outside lesson times and on visits
