Job summary

Eastern Education Group Trust are recruiting a Student Support Advisor for the University and Professional Development Centre in Bury St Edmunds. You will provide pastoral, progression and engagement support to students studying higher education, higher technical and apprenticeships.

Responsibilities include monitoring attendance and wellbeing, coordinating interventions, and guiding learners toward further study, employment and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners aged 18+ in education, HE, apprenticeship, youth work or community settings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant qualification in information, advice and guidance, youth work or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral, progression and engagement support to higher education and apprenticeship learners.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and wellbeing indicators; coordinate timely interventions.
• Deliver 1:1 tutorials and in-class support sessions; help learners plan next steps into further study or work.
