Job summary

Keighley College is seeking a Student Relations Officer (Full Time) for 39 weeks to support learners and Create a safe, welcoming environment across the campus. You will work closely with teaching and safeguarding teams, promoting student voice and participation in college life, while maintaining clear records and restorative approaches to conflict.

The role requires building relationships with students, responding to concerns and applying safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe and supportive

Qualifications

• Be approachable, confident and resilient and build positive relationships with young people.
• Experience supporting learners, managing challenging behaviour and resolving conflict calmly and fairly.
• Strong communication skills with safeguarding knowledge and appropriate response to concerns.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible, approachable presence around college, especially during breaks and lunch.
• Support students with concerns, conflicts and friendship difficulties.
• Use restorative conversations to resolve incidents and reinforce expectations.
• Recognise safeguarding concerns and report them through college procedures.
• Work with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families to coordinate support.
• Encourage student voice, leadership and participation in college life.
• Record incidents and follow up actions.
