Job summary

Huddersfield New College is recruiting a Safeguarding Officer to support the Safeguarding Director (Deputy DSL) and the Designated Safeguarding Lead in responding to safeguarding concerns and implementing actions.

You will need resilience, excellent communication, and the ability to work with students, staff, parents/carers, social workers, police and CAMHS. An enhanced DBS will be required, and checks will be completed in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Respond to safeguarding concerns and implement necessary actions
• Support the Safeguarding Director and DSL
• Coordinate with agencies and college staff to ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
