Job summary

Thrive Education is seeking a motivated Academic Mentor to provide full-time 1-1 support for students outside of the classroom, guided by the class teacher. • Experience with young people in a school or similar setting.
• Passion for supporting student learning and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1-1 work provided by the class teacher for students outside of the classroom.
• Provide 1-1 support to students with special needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teaching staff.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to meet individual student needs.
