We are searching for a high performing and enthusiastic individual to undertake an obstetric ultrasound training post here at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from hardworking and motivated individuals. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience, a proven interest in ultrasound, and meet the entry requirements of the University of Cumbria.
Applicants must possess an undergraduate University qualification and be registered with the HCPC/NMC/GMC or an equivalent registered professional body.
Academic teaching will take place at the University of Cumbria, and practical clinical training will be undertaken in the ultrasound department, mentored by our imaging clinical tutor. The successful candidate will learn how to scan a variety of obstetric patients, compose detailed reports, and complete the relevant modules at the University.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Post Holder will work under the clinical supervision of Sonographers, delivering all aspects of obstetric ultrasound procedures, while undertaking academic training at the University of Cumbria.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves delivering sensitive and sometimes upsetting information to patients and relatives.
The Post Holder should have a solid professional knowledge of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound and participate actively in CPD and other developmental activities. Participation in equipment testing and quality assurance analysis is also required.
