Job summary

The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking a dedicated Inclusion & Safeguarding Officer to join our Inclusion Team. You will support safeguarding operations, provide mentoring and pastoral support to students, and promote welfare across the academy.

Working under the Inclusion and Safeguarding Leader, you will engage with families, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for young people and support students with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Qualification relevant to safeguarding or mentoring roles.
• Understanding of EHCP and SEMH processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with students, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support safeguarding and inclusion systems on a day to day basis.
• Provide intervention, mentoring and pastoral support to students.
• Promote student welfare and manage safeguarding concerns.
• Work with families, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes.

Skills

Level 3 qualification

Full UK driving licence
