Job summary

Guardian Jobs in Brighton is seeking a Student Recruitment Insights and Forecasting Analyst to help optimise how we attract and enrol students.

In the Data and Insights team, you will forecast enrolments, model scenarios, and present clear recommendations to Recruitment, Admissions and Marketing colleagues.

You will work with Excel, SQL, Power BI and Tableau to analyse the full student journey, identify risks and opportunities, and support evidence-based planning.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing student recruitment pipelines within a higher education environment.
• Experience forecasting models, scenario planning and performance projections.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insight for decision-making.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with Excel/SQL/BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyse recruitment performance across the full student journey and identify trends.
• Create and maintain enrolment forecasts and scenario models.
• Monitor performance against targets and highlight risks and opportunities.
• Produce clear analyses to support decisions across Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Academic teams.
• Segment recruitment data by programme, market, domicile and channel.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion and recruitment effectiveness.
• Create dashboards, reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Evaluate the impact of recruitment activity on conversion outcomes.
• Support CRM journeys and applicant engagement strategies with data-driven insight.
• Refine forecasting methodologies and performance measures for institution-wide planning.
• Contribute analytic expertise to reporting improvements and strategic projects.
• Present insights and recommendations to diverse audiences and collaborate across teams.
