Job summary

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is seeking a Student Progress Advisor to join the pastoral support team. You will oversee up to 11 tutor groups, work with students to complete courses and reach academic goals, and support their personal development both inside and outside lessons.

You will track progress, identify at-risk students, monitor attendance and conduct, and provide safeguarding support according to college policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support and safeguarding
• Ability to track academic progress and intervene as needed
• Ability to liaise with parents/guardians and coordinate with teaching staff

Responsibilities

• Be primary point of communication with parents/guardians
• Track and monitor student progress against targets
• Identify at-risk students and initiate interventions
• Monitor attendance and punctuality and implement improvement measures
• Maintain high standards of student conduct and personal development
• Support welfare and safeguarding in line with college policies
• Maintain student records in Cristalweb and CPOMS
• Deliver group tutorials and careers guidance including UCAS references
• Assist with careers events and enrolment activities
• Participate in quality assurance and training activities
