Job summary

London Teaching Pool, Ltd is recruiting a Medical Welfare Officer for a permanent role at a secondary school in the Dunstable area. You will provide medical oversight, first aid and day-to-day wellbeing support for students throughout the school day.

You'll manage medication storage and records, update healthcare plans and liaise with parents and staff, while maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding. A First Aid at Work certificate is required or obtainable within three months.

Qualifications

• First Aid at Work certificate or willingness to obtain within three months.
• Experience in medical, welfare or school setting is essential.
• Strong record-keeping and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and respond to medical needs of students.
• Assess medical concerns and escalate as necessary.
• Manage secure storage, administration and monitoring of medication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and healthcare documentation.
• Review and update Individual Healthcare Plans as needed.
• Communicate with parents, carers and staff about medical needs and safeguarding.
