Job summary

Oldham College is seeking a committed Student Experience Officer to help deliver enrichment and personal development opportunities for its learners. You will collaborate with curriculum teams to design engaging activities that complement vocational studies and employability skills.

You will grow a diverse enrichment offer across sport, clubs, projects and life-skills, organise college-wide events, build partnerships with community organisations and employers, and use learner feedback and data to

Qualifications

  • Recent experience delivering enrichment or volunteering activities for young people.
  • Experience producing publicity materials and reports.
  • Knowledge of enrichment programmes within Study Programmes.
  • Familiarity with IT tools including Word, Excel and databases.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Student Experience Officer to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Plan and deliver an ambitious, inclusive Enrichment and Personal Development programme for young people, apprentices and adult learners across the College
  • Work with curriculum teams to develop sector and faculty-based activity that complements learners' vocational studies and employability skills
  • Grow a diverse enrichment offer, including sport, clubs, competitions, projects and skills-based activities that build confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership and life skills
  • Organise whole-College events such as guest speakers, celebrations, exhibitions, campaigns and cross-College competitions
  • Build partnerships with community organisations, employers and sporting bodies to widen opportunities and increase participation
  • Break down barriers to participation by using learner feedback, student voice and data to reach a diverse range of learners
  • Track and report on impact, using participation and feedback data to identify gaps and improve provision
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Recent experience developing and facilitating social, cultural, enrichment and volunteering activities for young people
  • Understanding of varied enrichment programmes and how they fit within Study Programmes
  • Broad knowledge of the issues facing young people in post-16 education
  • Experience producing publicity materials and reports in various formats
  • Experience using a range of IT software, including Word, Excel and databases
