Job summary

London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT) is seeking a proactive Student Experience Assistant to support the student journey at our London campus. You will help coordinate student voice, induction, and engagement activities under guidance from the Student Experience Lead.

You will work with academic staff and partners to support reporting, data collection on attendance and satisfaction, and the clear dissemination of regulations and event information, fostering an inclusive and engaging

Qualifications

• Experience in student-facing or administrative role within education.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under guidance.
• Experience in event or meeting coordination.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
• Experience within Higher Education.
• Understanding of student voice structures and committee processes.
• Awareness of UK Higher Education regulatory frameworks (e.g., OfS).
• Experience working within a partnership provision environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the Student Voice Committee and related meetings.
• Assist induction, orientation, and transition activities for new students.
• Organise student-led clubs and engagement initiatives.
• Support documentation, data collection, and reporting for quality assurance.
• Provide first-line student support and refer complex issues appropriately.
