Job summary

The University of Law is seeking a Student Data Analyst to join the Student Data and Governance department. This permanent, full-time role is remote with occasional campus attendance, supporting receipt, validation, cleansing, preparation, and import of student data into the university's Student Information System.

You will work with internal and partner teams to investigate data quality issues, perform data correction, and maintain records of data checks and decisions.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in data management, data analysis, systems analysis, computing, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets in a data, reporting, systems, or business analysis role.
  • Experience validating, cleansing, reconciling, or preparing data for operational or reporting use.
  • Understanding of data validation, data quality, data structures, and data management processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable approach to change and innovation

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and validate student data submissions from partner institutions.
  • Check partner data against agreed templates, data standards, business rules, and submission requirements.
  • Clean, prepare, and transform partner data for import into Banner and related student systems.
  • Record, track, and help resolve issues identified during testing, validation, or post-import review.
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and distribution of student data reports for operational and regulatory purposes

Job description

At The University of Law, we’re looking for a Student Data Analyst to join our Student Data and Governance department. This is a permanent, full-time position working remotely, with the occasional attendance required on campus. The post holder will support the receipt, validation, cleansing, preparation, and import of student data received from partner institutions into the University’s Student Information System.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues in Student Data and Governance, partner-facing teams, and relevant internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve data quality issues, support data correction activity, and maintain clear records of data checks, queries, decisions, and outcomes. The role will help ensure that partner data can be used reliably for student lifecycle management, statutory reporting, operational reporting, and management information.

As Our Student Data Analyst, You Will
  • Receive, review, and validate student data submissions from partner institutions.

  • Record, track, and help resolve issues identified during testing, validation, or post-import review.

We Are Looking For People Who Are/have
