Job summary

Capel Manor College is seeking a Counsellor to support students on a term-time basis in Nottingham. The role involves one-to-one counselling, welfare assessments, and collaboration with tutors to implement targeted support plans.

A safeguarding role is included within the Safeguarding Team. Applicants should hold an accredited Counsellor qualification and be a member of BACP, UKCP, or BABCP, with experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Accredited Counsellor qualification or equivalent.
• Membership with a professional body (BACP/UKCP/BABCP or equivalent).
• Experience working with young people and diverse backgrounds.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and practices.
• Good organisational and自主 initiative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to students with emotional or behavioural issues.
• Assess student needs and work with tutors to plan targeted support.
• Act as Safeguarding Officer within the Safeguarding Team and promote welfare/safeguarding practices.
