We are offering a fixed-term, one-year full-time contract for a BSc/PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) course at the University of Greater Manchester.

Details:

• Start Date:January 2026
• Completion Date:January 2027
• Salary:Band 5

This course is a balanced mix of 50% academic study and 50% practical experience, with placements across Bury.

Funding: This is a fully-funded training opportunity, subject to funding availability from Health Education England. Successful participants will qualify as registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visitors).

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration on part 1 or 2 of the NMC register or shortly to receive
• Diploma/Degree in Nursing Studies or equivalent
• V100/V150 Non Medical Prescriber
