Job summary

Christ’s College in Canterbury seeks a Careers Advisor to support boys as they explore futures beyond school. You will guide subject choices, pathways and scholarships while building confidence and providing impartial guidance.

You'll create connections with families, staff and external providers, coordinate careers events, and develop engaging resources to inspire meaningful pathways for students across Years 7–15.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in careers development, counselling, education or student guidance would be an advantage.
• We welcome applicants from both teaching and non-teaching backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Guide futures: Provide practical, personalised advice on subject choices, tertiary study, scholarships, vocational pathways and employment.
• Build confidence: Help boys understand their strengths and make informed decisions at every stage of their College journey.
• Create connections: Develop strong relationships with families, staff, tertiary providers, industry partners and the College’s Old Boys network.
• Bring careers to life: Coordinate events, deliver engaging presentations and create programmes and resources that inspire future possibilities.
