Job summary

University of Exeter Students' Guild is seeking a Student Activities Coordinator to empower student-led opportunities and volunteering. You’ll support over 300 societies, assisting recruitment, induction and recognition while ensuring safe, accessible activities.

Working with the Activities Team, you’ll help develop and champion a diverse range of interests, fostering belonging and development. The role is permanent, hybrid in Exeter, and offers a rewarding place to shape student life.

  • Provide support in volunteer management for over 300 student-led societies, including recruitment, induction, training, reward and recognition.
  • Ensure student group activity runs safely and support strategic development of the groups.

Job description

Student Activities Coordinator

We’re looking for someone with a passion for supporting student-led opportunities and volunteering, with a drive to empowering others and breaking down barriers to participation.

The Students’ Guild supports a wide range of student-led activities which provide exciting and rewarding opportunities for our members. This role supports the Activities Team to proactively support and empower student-led activities, as well as championing a diverse range of student-led interests that enable development, participation and belonging.

You’ll be one of the key staff contacts supporting over 300 student-led societies. Providing support in volunteer management such as recruitment, induction, training, reward and recognition. Ensuring student group activity runs safely, as well as supporting the strategic development of the groups, ensuring as many students as possible have access to diverse, engaging and positive extra-curricular experiences.

Hours: 35 hours (to be worked flexibly)
Salary: Grade B, £26,852 - £30,443 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Location: Exeter/Hybrid

The Students’ Guild is the University of Exeter’s students’ union, led by students for students. We’re an independent charity, offering a wide range of opportunities, services and support to help students get the most out of their unique journeys at university.
