A leading company in the UK seeks a Structures Engineer to manage and enhance their assets within the Operations division. This role involves assessing structures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with highway standards while fostering customer-focused solutions.
About the job.
National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Structures Engineer to join our Asset Management division within Operations. As a Structures Engineer, you will predominantly assist with the management of our structures by identifying asset needs and producing/reviewing risk management plans. The role will also entail elements of project management, like managing budgets and to an extent the supply chain to achieve our goals of maintaining our assets in line with our DMRB standards.
The Structures Engineer may also spend time developing treatment options and undertaking preliminary design work, or else undertaking structural reviews and assessment works for structures, while assuring adherence to defined asset policies and standards.
This role can be based from either our Wakefield, Darlington or Leeds offices on a hybrid basis.
You will be required to drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full driving licence, with no more than 3 points, to be considered for this position.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
