Job summary

M&G is seeking a Structured Finance Transactor and Originator in London to lead origination and execution of investment opportunities. The role blends transaction execution with origination, requiring strong commercial judgement and expertise to manage risks and stakeholder relations.

The role targets someone with substantial structured-finance experience, capable of assessing opportunities and guiding negotiations with internal and external stakeholders within a defined framework.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Structured Finance Transactor and Originator to bring strong structured‑finance expertise to the origination and execution of investment opportunities.

The role will combine transaction execution with origination, requiring strong commercial judgement, technical capability and the confidence to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The position is intended for someone who has built substantial relevant experience in structured finance and can demonstrate the expertise required to assess opportunities, contribute to transactions and work effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities for this Role:

• Originate and support the execution of structured‑finance opportunities.
• Apply structured‑finance expertise and commercial judgement throughout transaction activity.
• Assess potential solutions and their implications for customers, cost and risk.
• Work through non‑routine transaction issues with an understanding of the broader commercial context.
• Build effective relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Lead discussions and negotiations within the agreed framework where required.
• Use judgement, experience and specialist knowledge to manage transaction‑related risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of delivery.

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of structured finance.
• Demonstrable experience contributing to the origination and execution of structured‑finance transactions.
• Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement.
• Ability to evaluate potential solutions while considering customer, cost and risk implications.
• Ability to work through complex and non‑routine issues with an understanding of the wider context.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build an effective internal and external network.
• Confidence contributing to discussions and negotiations with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
