Job summary

M&G plc in London is recruiting for an Associate in Origination & Execution to help originate and execute bulk annuity deals and other de-risking opportunities. You will work with internal teams and external partners to craft compelling client propositions and deliver timely responses.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder management. The team collaborates across Pension Risk Transfer and Corporate Pension Solutions to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Support marketing, origination and execution of bulk annuities and de-risking opportunities.

• Engage with EBC and Trustee market, preparing high-quality responses.
• Coordinate colleagues and outsourcing partners across workstreams into client propositions.
• Develop understanding of bulk annuity structures, reinsurance and new product lines.
• Produce deliverables for clients and senior stakeholders, including presentations and proposals.

The Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team, part of Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS), was established in 2021 to leverage M&G's unique position as both an insurer and asset manager. The team develops Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) and other de-risking solutions for UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.

With ambitious growth plans and a target of writing £3-£4bn of new business per year from 2027, the team is continuing to expand and offers the opportunity to join a fast-growing area of the business. This role is focused on supporting the origination and execution of buy-ins, buyouts and other unique transaction structures.

Key Responsibilities for this Role:

• Supporting the marketing, origination and execution of new bulk annuities and other de-risking opportunities, taking ownership ofassignedactivitiesand progressing themwithappropriate seniorsupport
• Working with internal and external stakeholders and supporting on ad-hoc queries and wider relationship management activities
• Engaging with the Employee Benefit Consultant (EBC) and Professional Trustee market and preparinghigh-quality,timelyresponsesto queries and surveys
• Supporting the coordination of colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, pricing, legal and structuring workstreams into strong client propositions
• Developing a strong understanding of our novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines
• Supporting the production of high-quality deliverables for clients and senior internal stakeholders, including presentations, quotationdocumentsand responses to contractual requests.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

• Commercially minded with strong technical skills, attention to detail and ability to producehigh qualityclient deliverables
• An understanding of bulk annuity transactions or experience in a closely aligned/client-facing role is beneficial, with a willingness and ability to buildexpertisein the market
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate activities across stakeholders and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and understand and capture client needs
• Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to use initiative, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Able to prioritise workloadeffectivelyto cater for multiplecompetingdeadlines
