Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Manager to join our established business delivering structural steel projects across the UK. This is a hands-on management role requiring full responsibility for running structural steel projects on site.

You will manage mobilisation to completion, coordinate labour, subcontractors, programmes, and ensure works meet safety and quality standards. Nationwide travel is required, and the role is predominantly site-based.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Manager.
• Experience running complete structural steel sites/projects independently.
• Strong structural steel background is essential.
• Must have progressed beyond trainee or assistant-level positions.
• Experience as Site Manager/Project Manager in structural steel preferred.
• Understanding of structural steel installation and site operations.
• Confident managing subcontractors, labour and site activities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willing to travel nationwide and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

Important

Structural steel experience is essential.

This role is not suitable for:

• Architectural steel specialists.
• Candidates who have only managed a steel package for a main contractor.
• Trainee or Assistant Site Managers who have worked under another manager without having overall site responsibility.

The successful candidate must have personally managed and run structural steel sites/projects from start to finish
