Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Project Design Engineer (Structural Steel) to produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings and support projects from concept to manufacture and installation.

You will work with production, project management and site teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate and delivered on time, with occasional site visits for measurements and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using Autodesk software and AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• Strong background in structural steelwork design, including pipework and steel support structures is advantageous.
• Ideal to have 5+ years in a similar Project Design Engineer role, though capable candidates will be considered.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence is essential for occasional site visits.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 2D drawings using AutoCAD 2D and develop designs with Autodesk software.
• Design structural steelwork, pipework and steel support structures.
• Collaborate with production, project management and site teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and delivered on time.
• Occasional site visits to take measurements and complete site documentation.
• Complete site paperwork and survey reports and support projects through the design and delivery process.
