A civil or structural engineer with at least four years’ experience of designing steel and reinforced concrete structures. This should ideally have been gained working for a consulting engineer or in a contractors’ design office. Some knowledge of Auto CAD is preferable, and you will need to be familiar with industry standard design and analysis software. Your academic achievements should include a degree in civil or structural engineering. There will be regular contact with clients, sub consultants and external stakeholders, good interpersonal skills and the ability to forge productive working relationships is vital.
