Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer for the E24S team in the UK. The role combines analysis of mechanical and electrical components with design and reliability in a hybrid work setting. You will ensure products meet regulatory requirements across Civil Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear and Power Systems.

Responsibilities include multi-method simulations, reporting, and developing new methods for future products, while aligning with design, safety, and airworthiness teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design and structural analysis.
• Ability to apply analytical and innovative thinking on technical problems and balance decisions.
• Membership of a relevant professional body in the UK; Chartered status preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, nuclear is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse, and simulate electrical components and sub-systems using various methodologies (linear, dynamic, thermomechanical, non-linear, rotordynamic, impact, shock).
• Assemble, interpret, and report structural simulations, experimental results, and first principles analyses; optimise products to meet requirements.
• Develop new methods and introduce novel technologies into future products.
• Practice continuous improvement by updating best practices and reducing waste in processes.
