Job summary

A national marine surface preparation contractor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Structural Foreman to supervise welding tasks and ensure safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding processes, the ability to train new hires, and manage operational resources effectively. Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of welding processes including SMAW and GMAW-Flux Core.
• Experience in training and supervising other workers.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and ensure safe working environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of welders and shipfitters.
• Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine operational needs.
• Ensure quality control of welding and cutting tasks.

Skills

Knowledge of raw materials and production processes

Ability to follow instructions

Knowledge of welding machines and tools

Familiarity with the metric system

Ability to stand for long periods

Substance abuse testing clearance

Six months to one year related supervisory experience
