Job summary

Arup is offering a 6-week Summer Internship in Structural Engineering in Liverpool. This placement provides hands-on experience within Buildings teams across the UK and involves working on varied projects from major infrastructure to local buildings.

You will contribute to structural calculations, modelling and drafting while learning how to minimise embodied carbon and support sustainable development goals.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an MSc, MEng or BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• A genuine interest in structural engineering and developing a career in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out structural calculations, analysis and modelling; finding economical and practical solutions that align with sustainable goals.
• Communicating through drawings, sketches, digital modelling, calculation documents, BIM, meetings and reports.
