Job summary

Arup is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join its Bristol Structures team within the Property, Science & Industry portfolio. You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment on diverse projects from hospitals to national infrastructure, contributing to high-quality designs and delivery in a collaborative setting.

You should have a BEng or MEng in structural/civil engineering, aim to become chartered with ICE or IStructE, and be experienced with Eurocode design and Revit modeling.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in structural/civil engineering (MEng preferred).
• Chartered or near-chartered through the ICE or IStructE.
• Experience in Eurocode design of concrete and/or steel framed buildings.
• Experience in structural refurbishment/repurposing of existing buildings.
• Ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings, specifications and other deliverables to a high quality, on time and to budget.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, MEP engineers and other technical specialists.
• Collaborate with other members of the structural team to produce drawings, specifications and other deliverables.
• Work with the project manager to plan and deliver the work.
• Develop 3D models and drawings with Revit.
• Supervise and aid the development of apprentices and graduates.
