Job summary

Amentum is recruiting Structural Engineers to contribute to major defence and nuclear programmes in the UK. You will apply structural analysis and design skills across large industrial facilities, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a highly regulated setting.

Hybrid working is available with 1-2 days in the office and occasional site visits. The role requires strong communication, client liaison, and proficiency with relevant design standards.

Qualifications

• Good all-round technical design expertise using British, American and international standards, and/or Eurocodes.
• Proven ability to manage projects and preparation of project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, programme and resources.
• Good understanding of structural theory, with proven problem solving ability.
• Proven ability in preparation of bids and proposals, and developing good working relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of large industrial facilities such as power stations and manufacturing plants.
• Manage bids and proposals and align with clients on deliverables and timelines.
• Deliver projects within highly regulated environments and coordinate across disciplines.
