Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Yorkshire and Northeast team, delivering a diverse portfolio across Yorkshire, the Northeast and beyond.

You will apply civil/structural design skills to projects from concept to detailed design, work with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and uphold BIM and sustainability standards while developing your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate Member of IStructE or ICE; working towards Chartered status.
• Experience designing with Eurocodes for traditional materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
• Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer, Robot and Revit is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge across building structures projects from concept through detailed design.
• Support project delivery within defined programme and cost parameters.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain technical skillset.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis in client meetings and site visits.
