Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural Engineer to deliver a diverse portfolio across Yorkshire and the Northeast, contributing to design and project delivery from concept to detailed design. The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, client engagement, and a focus on innovative, sustainable solutions.

You will work in the Stockton, Leeds and Newcastle offices, with a strong local presence and national/international support, and you will contribute to projects spanning

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate Member of IStructE or ICE.
• Working towards Chartered status or Chartered.
• Experience designing with traditional materials to Eurocodes.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, Revit).
• Willingness to travel and work across offices.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge across building structures projects.
• Support project delivery from concept through detailed design.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders on live projects.
• Develop conceptual to detailed design solutions.
• Assist in delivering projects within programme and cost parameters.
• Present findings through written reports and client communications.
• Represent AtkinsRéalis at site visits and design team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with QA procedures and BIM standards.
