Job summary

ELB Recruit is representing a niche Structural Engineering consultancy in Cheshire seeking a Structural Engineer with 2+ years of consultancy experience. You will work on domestic, luxury residential, commercial, industrial and renewable energy projects, from concept through to construction, alongside senior engineers.

The role offers exposure to varied structures, collaboration with architects and contractors, and a clear path toward Chartership with professional development support.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years' consultancy experience in structural engineering.
• Working towards Chartership with IStructE or ICE.
• Proficient with Eurocodes, BS and UK Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of structural designs from concept through to detailed design.
• Produce structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Design structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber in accordance with current standards and codes.
• Work across domestic, residential, commercial, industrial and renewable energy projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients and other project stakeholders.
• Develop practical and commercially viable structural solutions with consideration for buildability.
• Support project delivery while maintaining quality, programme and commercial objectives.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Liaise with clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections as required.
• Ensure designs comply with health, safety and environmental legislation (CDM).
• Progress towards professional qualifications and Chartership.
