Job summary

Zodiac Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer in London to deliver design solutions from concept through construction. You will work with architects, developers and contractors on diverse projects across residential, commercial, industrial and heritage sectors.

The role requires a degree in civil/structural engineering, 2+ years' experience, proficiency with Tekla Tedds/AutoCAD/Revit/Robot, and Chartered status or eligibility. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
2+ years' post-graduate experience in structural design within a consultancy.
Proficient in Tekla Tedds, AutoCAD, Revit or Robot.
Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Chartered Member of IStructE or ICE (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Produce structural calculations, drawings, and reports for a diverse portfolio of projects.
Design using steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete.
Carry out structural inspections, site visits, and condition surveys.
Coordinate with in-house engineers, external consultants, and clients to deliver buildable designs.
Attend project meetings and liaise with multidisciplinary teams throughout all stages.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
