Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in Woodstock, Oxford, is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with proven experience delivering new buildings, large surveys and refurbishment projects to join our team in our Woodstock office. You will help provide a wide range of structural engineering services for diverse schemes.

Projects span from large complex schemes to local client tasks, with UK and international work for clients including F1 teams, airports, schools, developers and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural or civil engineering and working towards professional chartership.
• Proven experience of working in structural design and site experience in a construction company.
• Understanding Eurocodes and structural behaviour.
• Experience and understanding of sustainability issues within structural design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline designs for structural schemes based on client briefs.
• Carry out detailed design calculations to Eurocodes using 3D design software.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and BIM.
• Assist with production of detailed design drawings and specifications for tendering.
• Visit sites during construction to monitor progress.
• Carry out structural surveys of existing buildings and advise on issues.
• Analyse and report on structural defects in existing buildings.
• Check outgoing and incoming documents, including contractor proposals.
