Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Belfast is seeking a Structural Engineer to contribute to a range of buildings projects across education, transport, industrial and health sectors. You will work within a design team and report to Senior or Principal Engineer.

The role requires a degree in structural or civil engineering, experience in Eurocodes, proficiency with BIM tools and structural design software, and good communication skills. The team collaborates across locations and supports mentors.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in structural or civil engineering.
• Experience working as a structural design engineer on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Experience in Eurocodes and related design software.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel and BIM tools.
• Strong communication and ability to manage milestones.
• Willingness to collaborate across multiple locations, including remote/overseas.

Responsibilities

• Design building structures using Eurocodes and multiple materials.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and prepare sketches/reports.
• Prepare tender documentation and site inspection reports.
• Represent MM at design and site meetings and ensure BIM integration.
