Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Structural Engineer with a strong interest in building safety for their multi-disciplinary consultancy. The role is based at either their SE1 office in London or Sidcup in Kent and involves delivering inspections and reports for building safety cases.

You will join a specialist team of three engineers, handling a range of structural assessments and reports on existing buildings from the 50s–70s.

Qualifications

• Ambitious Structural Engineer interested in buildings safety.
• Experience with site visits and observations is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to sites and have a driving licence is essential.

Structural Engineer - Building Safety

Are you an ambitious Structural Engineer with an interest in buildings safety?

Could you be interested to join this multi disciplinary engineering consultancy, working in their specialist team delivering structural engineering inspections and reports for building safety cases?

This role could be based either in their SE1 office, or Sidcup in Kent. The firm have over 100 staff and their sectors include rail, buildings, marine, transport, housing, local government and many others. They are very varied in their workload.

The structural safety team currently have 3 engineers. You should be experienced in a wide range of buildings structures design, including visiting sites, making observations and providing written advice. The role will include lots of structural assessments, reviews, recommendations, forensic works, competency checks, performance checks, integrity checks. You will generally review buildings from the from the 50's/60's/70's. Travel to sites will be a large part of the role, so a willingness for this and a car driver is essential.

Experience of assessments and remedial works of Large Panel systems is preferable.
