Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a steelwork focus to join a specialist team delivering high-quality steel structures. You will contribute from concept through fabrication and construction across commercial, industrial and multi-storey projects.

The role supports a hybrid working pattern with one day per week in the Cheshire office, offering long-term development within a respected steel design practice.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of BS5950 and Eurocode 3 (BS EN 1993).
• Experience with Tekla tools and IDEA StatiCa; proficiency with at least three tools is essential.
• Experience in steel connection design.
• IStructE Associate Member level or working toward it.

Structural Engineer - Steelwork Focus

Location: Northwich (Hybrid Role)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a specialist structural engineering team delivering high-quality steelwork solutions across a range of complex building projects. You'll be involved in the design and coordination of structures from early concept through to fabrication and construction, working on schemes such as commercial developments, industrial buildings, and multi-storey steel frames.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with just one day per week required in the Cheshire office.

Key Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A strong and detailed working knowledge of BS5950 and BS EN 1993 (Eurocode 3)

• Proven experience using Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Connection Designer, MasterSeries, and/or IDEA StatiCa (experience with at least three of these is essential)

• Demonstrable experience in steel connection design

• Ideally qualified to Associate Member level of IStructE (or working towards)

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
