Job summary

JN Technical Ltd is seeking a skilled Connection Designer to work remotely for a UK-based structural steel fabricator. You will produce safe, efficient, and compliant connection designs to Eurocodes/BS standards and prepare detailed calculations and reports for approval.

Based in the UK and able to collaborate with engineers, detailers, and fabrication teams, you will contribute to tender, design, and construction phases on varied steel projects while maintaining high standards of quality and

Qualifications

• Experience as a structural steel connection designer in a UK fabrication or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode 3 and British Standards.
• Proficiency with connection design software (IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Tedds, MasterSeries).
• Ability to interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings and 3D models.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate remotely.
• Degree or HNC/HND in Structural or Civil Engineering preferred.

JN Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established structural steel fabricator operating across a variety of UK sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Connection Designer to join their engineerging department on a remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer who to help deliver large scale steel structures.

• Degree or HNC/HND in Structural or Civil Engineering preferred, though strong experience is equally valued.
