Job description

Role

The Structural Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the design process, working with in-house tools to create bespoke engineering solutions for customers. Responsibilities include:

1. Delivering concept and detailed structural schemes to Sales and Design teams.
2. Calculating cold-formed steel structures according to prevailing standards (EN codes and storage industry standards).
3. Explaining calculation processes clearly.
4. Participating in product testing and interpreting results.
5. Developing software to standardise calculation processes.

Qualifications

To be successful, candidates should have:

• An MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in structural design.
• An understanding of steelwork design codes.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with thin-gauge steel.
• Experience within the storage industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
