Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Structural Engineer in South Manchester to join a multidisciplinary design practice. The role offers hybrid working and a clear path from 2–4 years of post-graduate experience toward more senior responsibilities.

You will work across residential, commercial, industrial and education sectors, contributing from concept to detailed design and coordinating with architects and engineers. A collaborative team awaits your growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant structural engineering experience.
• Around 2-4 years' post-graduate experience.
• Relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles and design.
• Experience with structural analysis and design.
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and design codes.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive approach and desire to progress professionally.
• Experience within a consultancy environment would be advantageous.

• Carrying out structural design and analysis across a variety of projects.

We are working with an established multidisciplinary design practice based in South Manchester, who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a Structural Engineer with at least 2 years' experience who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will have around 2-4 years' post-graduate experience and be ready to take the next step in their career towards a more senior position.

The Role

The successful Structural Engineer will work across a varied portfolio of projects, collaborating closely with other design disciplines including architects and engineers.

You will be involved throughout the design process, from initial concepts through to detailed design and delivery, gaining exposure to a broad range of project types and structural challenges.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, is technically minded and is looking for an opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.
