Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in Leeds is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer progressing toward Chartered status. You will contribute to the design and delivery of building structures, working with steel and concrete across multiple sectors, and produce clear technical documentation.

You will collaborate with colleagues, consultants, and clients to ensure efficient delivery and help develop safe, buildable designs.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree.
• Demonstrable experience in building structures, covering both steel and concrete design.
• Strong understanding of UK design codes, standards, and typical industry practice.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of building structures across a variety of sectors.
• Undertake structural design in steel and reinforced concrete, including multi-storey frames, steel portal frames, and both new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare clear, well-structured technical documentation, calculations, and reports.
• Collaborate effectively with internal colleagues, external consultants, and clients to ensure coordinated and efficient project delivery.
• Support the development of proportionate, safe, and buildable structural solutions.
• Engage proactively in project meetings, design reviews, and team discussions.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and high-performance team culture.

If you are an experienced Structural Engineer progressing toward Chartered status within the next couple of years we have an opportunity for you to join our team in the Leeds office.
