Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Structural Design Engineer (Structural Steel) for an office-based role in Halifax, West Yorkshire. You will produce structural steel designs, ensure compliance with British and European standards, carry out structural analysis and connection design, and perform stress calculations using MasterSeries and S-Frame.

You will provide technical support and guidance to junior team members, mentoring design engineers.

Qualifications

Are you a Structural Design Engineer from a structural steel background looking for an autonomous, technical role within a continuously growing manufacturer offering flexible working hours, company bonuses and a varied project workload?

Since the 1970s, this company has grown to become a leader within the structural steel industry. Through continued success, they have expanded to over 100 employees, achieved a multi-million-pound turnover, and due to an increasing number of projects, are now looking to strengthen their design team.

In this office-based role, you will be responsible for producing structural steel designs, ensuring they comply with British and European design standards, carrying out structural analysis and connection design, and performing stress calculations using software such as MasterSeries and S-Frame. You will also provide technical support and guidance to junior members of the design team.

This role would suit a Structural Design Engineer or similar from a structural steel background looking to join a well-established manufacturer offering a technically varied workload, flexible working hours, company bonuses and long-term career progression.

The Role

• Design structural steelwork using Tekla Structures
• Produce structural calculations and ensure compliance with British and European standards.
• Monday-Friday, 37.5-hour week with flexible start and finish times.
• Support and mentor junior Design Engineers.

The Person

• Structural Design Engineer or similar.
• Structural steel design experience
• Able to Commute to Halifax
