Job summary

Skilled Careers is working with a forward-thinking structural and civil engineering consultancy near London Bridge seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team. The role focuses on refurbishment, retrofit and complex existing structures, offering opportunity to work on varied projects in a collaborative environment.

You will design and deliver a portfolio of projects, taking them from concept through to detailed design while coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience with refurbishment, retrofit or existing structures.
• Consultancy experience.
• Good understanding of structural design principles.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and delivery of a varied portfolio of structural projects with a focus on refurbishment and retrofit.
• Work on alterations to existing structures and structural assessments/investigations.
• Involvement in residential and commercial developments, extensions and change-of-use projects.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants from concept to detailed design and delivery.
