Job summary

Mainstream East Sussex consultancy is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join their head office in the South East. You will contribute to the design of new-build and refurbishment projects, applying engineering techniques and codes.

Candidates should be Graduate members of IStructE and/or ICE, capable of independent work, and able to develop drawings, calculations and specifications while delivering compliant engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Graduate member of IStructE and/or ICE required.
• Knowledge of structural design and engineering techniques.
• Ability to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment.
• Ability to devise new approaches to problems and prepare drawings, calculations, charts and graphs.
• Monitor work for compliance with codes and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations and graphs.
• Apply engineering techniques and criteria to projects in the South East.
• Ensure work complies with relevant codes and accepted practices.
