Job summary

Mainstream East Sussex consultancy is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join its head office. The successful candidate should be a Graduate member of IStructE and/or ICE and possess solid structural design skills, capable of independent work using informed judgment and engineering techniques.

The role covers a diverse mix of new-build and refurbishment projects across the South East, with project values up to £100 million. Excellent salary and benefits are on offer for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Graduate member of IStructE and/or ICE.
• Knowledge of structural design and engineering techniques.
• Capable of devising new approaches and preparing drawings, specifications and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in evaluation and application of engineering techniques.
• Prepare or modify drawings, specifications and calculations; monitor compliance with codes and standards.
• Contribute to a diverse workload of new-builds and refurbishments across the South East; work with project values up to £100 million.
