Structural Design Engineer – Structural Steel

Lancaster

£30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)

Full-time | Permanent

Are you a Structural Design Engineer with a passion for steelwork?

Do you have proven experience in steel connection design and want to take on technically challenging and rewarding projects?

We’re working with a well-established structural steel specialist based in the Lancaster area who are looking to grow their technical team with a talented Design Engineer.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing steel connections for a wide range of structural steel projects
• Working closely with drawing/detailing teams to ensure technical accuracy
• Liaising with engineers and project teams to deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions
• Supporting design calculations and documentation in line with Eurocodes/BS standards

What we’re looking for:

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven background in steel connection design
• Strong understanding of structural behavior and load paths
• Experience using design software such as Tekla Tedds, IDEA StatiCa, MasterSeries, or similar
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
